Martinique Beach

Wanderlust Journal 16 – Martinique Beach 2.0

It is the most amazing beach I’ve ever been to!

Beach Birds. Ok, this isn’t their scientific name, clearly, but let’s roll with it! These cute little birds run along the shore and in & out of the water; there’s groups of them along the whole beach.

This is Toby! I heard grunting, so I turned around and this dog was looking at me with his ball ready. So, we quickly became friends and played catch.

The beach is 5 KLM long. So, at the start we chose the sand dune as our distance goal.

The sand is so soft and the dunes are hard to climb! But we did it. Not a summer day, but a September day, so I wore pants…and took an abundance of sand home in my pants!

Pano dune views. It’s November as I look at these pictures and write this. It’s currently a little chilly; winter coat season, but if I close my eyes, I can imagine the warmth of the beach.

Underwater treasures as we attempted to go to a rock formation in the water. The current was strong, and the rocks were too slippery to make it.

Majestic garçon.

Sunglasses, like red lipstick, change everything.

Pano and shadows.

One last look before we venture home.

Wanderlust Journal 15 – Martinique Beach

I saw the pictures of this beach online, so I was very excited to walk up to this point to see for myself what was beyond. I was also impressed by the prime parking!

Amazing! 5 klm of white sandy beach, and so much to explore! Beach life galore! With the beautiful sound of crashing waves.

As we were leaving, my eyes filled up with tears, not because I was sad to leave but because there’s so much salt in the air!

Its love at first sight! I’m in love with this beach!
