Let the waves hit your feet, and the sand be your seat.
It’s pretty much a secret beach.
“Seas” the day! And that’s exactly what we did!
The mission: Eat at Sou’Wester Restaurant and explore Peggy’s Cove. Mission accomplished: Amazing day!
We were craving fish & chips, and I must say, these were one of the best I’ve had at the Sou’Wester Restaurant. Highly recommend, with the best views while you eat.
Stop for a photo just outside the restaurant of the old British style phone booth! It looks like it must have been hit by many Peggy’s Cove storms, the door isn’t on it anymore!
The iconic lighthouse stands upon giant rocks…and more giant rocks!
I’ve always wondered what it looked like inside the lighthouse! So I took a peek inside. You can also google “Inside Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse” and you’ll find a video by Macleans Magazine of a quick tour of the lighthouse. Here’s the link:
And here’s my peek inside!
It’s so much fun to jump from rock to rock. You can get a really great workout, or even pick a spot to relax in the sun and take in the ocean views. This place is huge, although always lots of people you can find a spot.
I like walking around the fishing village. There’s so many shops, a cute café, as well as an ice cream shop. I especially like the docks, the water is so clear you can see everything perfectly.
Peggy’s Cove is a highlight of Halifax, Nova Scotia. If you come to visit, you really should take a few hours to come check this place out, and the drive here is quite scenic, so well worth the trip!
